Your responsibilities will include tax return preparation, using available tools from well-known tax programs, tax filings for both personal and commercial business entities, summarizing financial transactions, reviewing and correcting trial balance and general ledger information using quick books, and a variety of project management assignments.

The ideal candidate will be a college graduate with a tax or accounting degree, one plus years of relevant work experience, comfortable working with detailed tax programs, and business financial statements, and detail-oriented.

Your Enrolled Agent certification is a critical skill set.

A CPA or intentions to prepare for the exam is desirable, but not required and most of the experience will be eligible for practical NYS licensing.

This company is a full-service Accounting, Tax, and Advisory firm with clients based in all regions of New York State.  We have a diverse client base of tax, bookkeeping, and administrative projects for a wide industry group made up of closely held and privately held business and professional clients, with C- Corporations, S-Corporations, Professional Corporations, and Partnership Accounting.  We have deep client relationships in industries that are wide-ranging and many complex high-net-worth individuals who own and maintain investment real estate.

Salaries range between $50,000 - $60,000 annually.  In addition to free parking, we offer a 50% payment towards your medical plan.

Initially, your role will be based full time five days per week at our Hicksville, LI location.  Longer term, we are very open to a flexible, hybrid working situation that strikes the right balance between your needs and serving our client’s needs.
